At times ‘Presumption’ overshoots and ‘Diffidence’ falls short is a well known quote by Golda Meir.

Festivals promote diversity, they bring neighbors into dialogue, they increase creativity, they offer opportunities for civic pride, they improve our general psychological well-being. In short, they make cities better places to live – but in our presumption we assumed that waste generation during such occasions cannot be controlled and had no contingency plan – and in our diffidence we failed to address this issue with the organisers.

Thanks to today’s mass cleaning drive organised as a State initiative, the mess was carted away for recovery and safe disposal by volunteers – both public and departmental, and the municipal staff.
