A 11 day exercise aimed at a re-cleanup of the middle stream and a further widening of 500 meters of hitherto untouched ground was brought to a successful conclusion on 08 October, thanks to the funds made available from funds provided by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and INTACH Nilgiris Chapter. It is hoped that our efforts will help stave off the flooding which happens during the burst of the NE Monsoon in all its fury.

Rossetti is known to have penned this verse, ‘DOES the road wind uphill all the way?’ Yes, it does, all the way, to the very end. Humanity in all its tainted glory doesn’t change in a day. In the years to come, There’s bound to be more silting up, more dumping, and etc. Well until such a time, when change does come…., it’s Mandela’s remark, “After climbing a great hillone only finds that there are many more hills to climb.”
