CREATING
Awareness.
We at Clean Coonoor firmly believe that that the place to build a great society is chiefly the classroom.
Perhaps catching them young can help in undoing the damage that has been done, and can as well ensure that the same mistakes made by this generation aren’t repeated by the next.
To this effect we organise regular talks about current day environmental issues such as global warming, plastic pollution, waste management & etc.
“Involve me and I learn,” is a quote attributed to Benjamin Franklin. Our activities are not always confined to the schoolroom, students also participate in outdoor pursuits such as cleanups, heritage / nature walks, and eco-restoration.

At the risk of using a cliche, it is reiterated that learning is a continuous process, for the illiterate are not those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.
To this effect our sensitisations target varied sections among adults, for as an adult, one has to have awareness, to design for the present – based on the past – and taking into cognisance the future.
