Unit Utilisation – Wet Waste Processing Centre (KPI-12)

The quantum of the daily wet stream delivered to the Composting Unit by all sources as against the handling capacity

Averages in %

Averages by Weight

  • Handling Capacity – 8,000 kgs per day
  • Expected Percentage – 90-95%
  • Increases and decreases as described in KPI-11
  • All actions described under KPI-11 to be repeated
  • If under-utilisation persists try and increase inwards by tying up with nearby local bodies and through direct collection from gated communities, bulk generators, etc.
  • Consider upgradation of centre if 5 consecutive quarterly cohorts indicate over-utilisation.

Confounders

  1. Single Stream Deliveries and Bulk Deliveries may not reflect the true picture of unit utilisation.
  2. Special circumstances such as fairs and festivals again falsely alter the utilisation pattern.
